Robin Stone visits classes to talk about book

Robin Stone speaks to students in Journalism 200 and 300 on Thursday, March 4. Stone was promoting her late husband Gerald Boyd's book, "My Times in Black and White."

MSU Journalism School alumna Robin Stone, writer, editor and author, visited several classes, including JRN 200 and 300, to talk about “My Times in Black and White,” the book by her late husband Gerald Boyd, who was managing editor at The New York Times.

Stone told students the story behind the writing of the book, including the circumstances surrounding Boyd’s firing in the wake of the Jayson Blair plagiarism scandal. She also made suggestions to the students about their education  and careers, and answered students’ questions.
